Well, it finally happened. Mike was commisioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington. It was a short ceremony attended by Megan and Dad and most of the staff of the medical clinic at McChord. We're not sure what happens next, possibly Commisioned Officer Training in May. He probably won't get his uniform or ID card until then. We're really excited about it and look forward to medical school starting in August. We're currently looking for a home to purchase or rent in Yakima. Rich gave us some good advice on how to deal with lenders so we're confident we'll be able to work something out. On another front, our fifth child is scheduled to be born on the 9th of March (barely a week away). We're pretty anxious about it and can't wait to find out whether it's a boy or girl.
